In the midst of a record-setting heat wave, Kam Franklin and The Suffers lit up the stage in Dallas.

The Houston-based group, led by vocalist/songwriter/activist Kam Franklin, reminded us what live music should feel like: dynamic, powerful, emotional, and captivating. People were dancing, but they were also listening.
Later on in the set, local harpist/multimedia artist Jess Garland joined the band on stage to perform “How Do We Heal,” an ethereal ballad from The Suffers’ latest LP, It Starts with Love. Check out the photos below and look out for a special interview with Kam coming soon.
