Who is Lou Charle$? The world is about to find out.
Who, exactly, is Lou? The answer lies within Ep. 112 of the LS Podcast, when Jaimie Siegle talks to the up-and-coming Texas rapper about growing up in Cairo, going to TCU, and making the decision to do music full-time. Having grown up on Houston rap, Lou reveals how he met Paul Wall—at a Beto rally, of all places—and wound up collaborating with The People’s Champ on “Showin’ Out,” which was released this spring. (We play some of it here, too!)
He shares his experience at the George Floyd / Black Lives Matter protests in Fort Worth, gives a little insight into his forthcoming full-length album, and reflects on how he’s honed his craft and found his voice over the last five years.
Listen to Spotify’s “This is Lou Charle$” playlist or find him on IG. His latest music video for “Hate Me 4 (ft. Brandon Marcel)” drops the same day as this episode, so might as well check out both, right? 😉
