Jess Garland is, quite frankly, one of the most hardworking women in Dallas.
As a composer, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, community organizer, and founder of a local nonprofit, Jess Garland is a true community leader and an artist in every sense of the word.
The classical guitarist and harpist is also a seasoned teacher, and in this episode we talk about how music lessons have been a saving grace for many students—particularly during the pandemic.
We talk about how Jess got her start and how she stays grounded amidst her insane schedule. We also discuss how she’s raising awareness about social issues and environmental racism through her multimedia projects, and how she’s affecting change at the local level.
Finally, we share a clip of her latest single, “Glow.”
